Perhaps it’s not much of a surprise, but Party Poker comes in near the top of our list of the best online poker rooms. As the world’s largest online poker room - with over 50% of the market - Party Poker maintains such popularity by being very strong (‘superior’ might be a more appropriate description) in virtually every area when compared to other sites.

The high number of players is one, but not the only, excellent reason to check in with this behemoth. As one would expect, the biggest and most popular rooms on the Internet is doing a lot of things right to attract such traffic.

Party Poker has a large selection of tables and wide betting limits, a well-designed look, reliable software, and the cashouts are excellent. The site offers solid bonuses to new and loyal customers and pays out quickly and efficiently. Also, Party Poker has made tremendous improvements in terms of its security features and as a result, transactions are smooth, reliable, and effortless. Although we like the graphics and feel of some poker rooms a bit more than this one (Noble Poker for example), Party Poker simply wins out in the end because there are so many tables to choose from, and your chances of finding an easy one are much higher.

Recent changes have also contributed to Party Poker’s position in our top 5. Even though they’ve recently gone independent (no longer share a player base with other sites), they still boast the highest online traffic. They’ve also added Blackjack, opportunities for side-betting, and quick linkups to their Backgammon and Casino sites. The customer service has improved with a staff devoted to dealing with any problems its enormous customer may have. Although there's a big selection of tables at Party Poker, the game selection isn’t as large. Nonetheless, recent additions have been made and overall, compared to other sites, Party Poker is far from weak in this regard. “Easy-to-beat” games and specialty events also add a unique flavor that adds to the site’s ability to appeal to beginning and seasoned players alike. Overall, we find little reason to argue why this incredibly popular site shouldn’t deserve such a high ranking and its position as the most heavily visited room on the internet.
